Nebulink
Terms and license
Last updated October 12, 2026
These terms cover buying Nebulink and using it. The license agreement below is the same one you accept when you install Nebulink.
Buying Nebulink
- Seller. Nebulink is sold through Gumroad, which handles payment, sales tax and receipts. The price is shown on the purchase page. A license covers two PCs and includes one year of updates from the day you buy; the versions you have keep working after that. Another year of updates costs $20 and is optional.
- Your license key. You get a personal license key by email after you buy. Keep it private: it's tied to your purchase, and sharing it breaks the license below.
- Refunds. See the refund policy.
- What you need. A ZWO Seestar S30, S30 Pro, S50 or S50 Pro on your home Wi-Fi, and a Windows 10 or 11 PC on the same network. Please try the free live demo and read the questions before you buy.

Copyright © 2026 Paul R. Smaglik. All rights reserved. By installing or using Nebulink you agree to this agreement. If you don't agree, don't install it.
- License. You may install and use Nebulink on computers you own or control, on up to two PCs at a time, to operate your own telescopes. Nebulink is licensed to you, not sold. The author keeps all rights not expressly given to you here.
- Restrictions. You may not:
- copy, sell, rent, lend, sublicense, publish or distribute Nebulink or any part of it, except the installer as obtained from the author for your own use;
- reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, extract or attempt to derive the source code of Nebulink, except where the law expressly allows it despite this restriction;
- modify Nebulink or make works based on it;
- remove or change any copyright or license notice;
- get around any license check or trial limit, or share your license key.
- Updates. Updates released within one year of your purchase are included. Versions released before your updates end keep working; later versions need a renewal ($20 for another year of updates, added to the end of your current updates). Features may change between versions.
- Your equipment. Nebulink sends commands to your telescopes. You are responsible for setting up your equipment safely, supervising it, and never pointing a telescope at the Sun without a proper solar filter.
- No warranty. Nebulink is provided "as is", without any warranty of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
- Limitation of liability. To the extent the law allows, the author is not liable for any damage to equipment, loss of data, or any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from the use of Nebulink. In any case, the author's total liability is limited to the amount you paid for Nebulink.
- Third parties. Nebulink is an independent product. It is not made, endorsed or supported by ZWO. Seestar and ZWO are trademarks of Suzhou ZWO Co., Ltd. Nebulink works with services and programs run by others (such as MET Norway, the National Weather Service, the Deutscher Wetterdienst, NASA, GraXpert, ntfy and Discord), whose own terms apply when you use them. Nebulink includes open-source components, which remain under their own licences.
- Ending this license. This license ends automatically if you break its terms. When it ends, you must uninstall Nebulink.
- Governing law. These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, USA, without affecting any rights you have under the consumer laws of the country where you live.
